Yoga has long been a meditative practice and a way to improve health, flexibility and increase strength. Our yoga teachers offer classes for all levels of yoga practitioners, especially beginners. See class descriptions below.

Dorothy is a certified yoga teacher at the 500 hour level as well as a certified Yoga Therapist She has had the good fortune to have studied with internationally known teachers in the United States, Europe and India. She teaches Yoga and Meditation at Columbia College. She trains students to become Yoga teachers. In the summers she runs the Yoga-Pilates-Meditation at Lair of the Golden Bear Campgrounds near Pine Crest. One of her great joys is watching the growth of her students in her Teacher Training Program.

Tuesday 9:30 am – 10:45 am Yoga Basics and Beyond,
Tuesday 11:00 am – 12:00 pm 1 hr. Meditation Class,
Friday 12-1 pm – 1 hr Yoga/ Meditation Class 45 Gentle Yoga followed by 10 minutes of Meditation
She also is a licensed Massage Therapist available for massage at the center.

Golden Restoration “Restorative Yoga” Fridays 2:00-3:15 “Let the light shine from within”
Golden Restoration Restorative Yoga is a special time to restore, re-pose, and relax. A quality time to step away from stress and high paced life. Practice is a gentle guide through a series of restorative and decompressed poses that support health and well being.
Golden Restoration aids homeostasis, prevents inflammation, relieves minor aches, improves sleep, supports respiratory function, improves concentration, builds stamina, and creates self awareness.
This class is applicable to all levels of students. In the end you will be delighted with our self guided relaxation.
Karl is a certified yoga instructor at the 200 hour level and has a daily practice of yoga and meditation.
Karl loves to teach his students about the great benefits of Yoga. His Passion is studying B.K.S Yyengar. Karl loves to teach his students the wisdom of the Yoga Sutras and the Eight limbs of Yoga. He is very knowledgeable about the benefits of Yoga and loves to explain to each student about the impact each Asana (posture) has on the health the body and the mind
. Karl has a Restorative certification from Judith Lasater.
